The reason why this exist is because of the lack of Sarawakian (or more specific, Kuching) representation in the media and literature. Rather than write another opinion piece in a newspaper column about this, I decided to do it myself. Instead of waiting for some well established writer to come over to my hometown and write about it's qualities, may as well I do it first. KL Noir from FIXI Novo made Kuala Lumpur front and center in their crime-pulp universe. They didn't wait for Frank Miller or Garth Ennis to write some gritty representation of Kuala Lumpur, they did it themselves. We might not get Sin City: Kuala Lumpur.

So here's Kuching Poetry and if the universe ever give me superpowers to overcome my laziness, expect Kuching Fiction or Kuching <insert medium here>. Contact me at Terence.A.Anthony@gmail.com
